Eternal sadboy Drake is having a moment on Twitter.
Over the past week, a tweet from 2012 was resurfaced and turned into a super relatable meme. The moody tweet asks, “What am I gonna do? Say no?”
Is anyone surprised that the artist who croons, “Say you’ll never ever leave from beside me” was subtweeting in 2012?
Although we never found out who Drake was sulking about — although knowing him, it was probably Rihanna — the tweet stands strong six years later as the ultimate reaction to dealing with responsibility.
And honestly, who hasn’t felt this way before? From being peer pressured into drinking to making terrible financial decisions, Drake’s old tweet is still a big mood.
Can you really turn down food from your grandmother? After all the time she spent cooking it for you?
Sure, all that sugar probably isn’t good for you. But what are you gonna do, say no?
It’s hard to not feel personally attacked by this.
Stan Twitter, it seems, is still in denial about a certain death.
Have you ever felt more seen by Panera?
Drake’s Twitter has been tragically inactive over the past two years, aside from promoting his music. Let’s just be glad that no matter how long ago they were made, Drake’s sadboy tweets will always be relatable.
